We plan to expand upon this further as our hope is to create a network of experienced, trained and recommended grief therapists across the country.
Emma’s Footprints
Our main partner has a national footprint as they help families after the loss of a child. Their mission aligns with Brooks’ as they cover funeral/memorial costs and provide financial support for counseling. They have a team of grief experts or “care team” who are available and consist of other loss Moms. When reaching out to us, we will frequently work hand in hand with the team at Emma’s. They also have monthly support group meetings.

If you are a man grieving the loss of a child, or a Mom who may want to better understand what your partner is experiencing, this is an invaluable resource. Bryan told Brooks’ story in an episode and shared details of his family’s grief journey. He has also offered his time as a “Dadvocate” through Guys and Grief making himself directly available to others who need someone to reach out to.

Luke’s Purpose
A little over a year after Brooks passed away, a friend of Bryan’s experienced a tragedy. Luke went in for a surgery and never woke up. In the time since then, they have chosen to honor their little boy by helping loss families. It started out by digging through GoFundMe’s and donating in his honor. From there, partnerships with children’s hospitals, other non-profits, a blog and quarterly events has seen there non-profit gain steam. Little Luke is smiling down and we admire all they are doing for loss parents.
